Meet Myrtle - goBorgh® Brand Ambassador

Myrtle — Family First, goBorgh always.

Myrtle the Turtle was born on June 8, 2017, and came home with us in mid-July of that year. She’s an English bulldog with strong champion lineage — but her presence was never about pedigree.

From the moment she arrived, Myrtle made it clear she belonged.
She didn’t ease her way in.
She burst through the door like she owned the place — confident, bold, and completely certain she was exactly where she was supposed to be. It wasn’t arrogance. It was knowing.

At the time, our family had two other fur babies:
- 7yr old Winston Wallace (hospice volunteer service dog, T-Go’s heart/soul, olde english bulldog)
- 8yr old Ruby Ruth (Daddy’s girl, shi-tzu/chihuahua).
Just weeks after Myrtle came home, Winston suddenly passed from an aggressive form of cancer that we didn’t know he had. Had we known he was in his final days, we never would have brought a new fur baby into the house — but life had other plans.
As painful as that loss was, Myrtle’s arrival turned out to be a blessing. Ruby, our older lady, had never been alone a day in her life. Before Winston, Ruby had Bud, our beloved 13 year old shi-tzu, who passed in 2013.
Bud and Ruby were inseparable, like an old married couple. Ruby had always had companionship, always had a presence beside her.
Without Myrtle, Ruby would have been alone for the first time in her life — she would have been lost.
Myrtle didn’t just fill space, she anchored the household.
Ruby taught Myrtle the ways of our household. In turn, Myrtle was Ruby’s constant companion and protector until 15-year-old Ruby, passed in 2024.

Myrtle arrived with confidence, character, and a calm certainty that carried all of us through a difficult transition. She didn’t replace anyone. She simply showed up when she was needed most.
That’s who Myrtle is.
Before she was ever part of goBorgh®, she was part of our family.

Myrtle didn’t become part of goBorgh® by design. She became part of it the same way she became part of our home — by showing up with confidence, presence, and a steady sense of belonging.

Over time, she naturally came to reflect the spirit behind the brand.
What began at home, simply carried forward. And Myrtle became, in the most natural way, the Brand Ambassador of goBorgh®.
